Psychotherapy

We believe that psychotherapy should provide people with hope that they will move on from their difficulties and that they are not defined by them. We work from a practical, problem-solving perspective, so whilst we will carefully listen to your problems, we work skilfully to help you to use and develop your own resources to move on from these in as few sessions as possible. We work from a Human Givens perspective in our rooms in Cheadle, Cheshire.

We help a broad spectrum of clients, including those with personality disorders and those who have either committed sexual offences or are worried that they might commit such offences.

Our therapists are committed to helping those suffering from psychological trauma of any kind.  Helen helps survivors of child sexual exploitation and is supporting families and professionals affected by the 2017 Manchester Arena bomb. The symptoms associated with trauma can be significantly reduced in one session.

Fees for individual sessions start from £140.00 (there are also concessionary rates).

On average, we have assisted our clients to achieve their goals within six sessions.

As well as stress, depression and anxiety, we can help people with…

Female, aged 50s

'I have only met Helen twice so far and was very unsure if I was doing the right thing, it is not easy admitting you have a problem and can't cope with life. Frustrated at the lack of support from my GP I am glad that I found this site and met Helen. I feel comfortable and at ease in her presence which has made it easy to talk to her. She has really listened to me and is now helping me understand and deal with my problems. For me personally finding someone who I can feel safe and comfortable with was important, but also peace of mind that the person I was talking to is qualified to help me.'

‘You really helped me cope with the most awful time in my life.  I don’t know how I would have managed without your support and help.  I’ve got to come to terms with things myself but you’ve helped me to see there is a way forward.  Thank you’

'Thank you so much for being the sounding board and non-biased person I needed to work through my issues. There is still a lot to learn and to remember I have boundaries and they are reasonable.  You have helped me work through my emotions and issues and I would highly recommend your services to anyone in need of therapy.'
